Golden Gate Bridge to Marshall Beach - $55

  • SEE - Fort Point, a civil war era military fort located dramatically under the Golden Gate Bridge

  • VIEW - Marine mammals up close...seals, porpoises, and if we are lucky...migrating humpback or gray whales!

  • FOLLOW - The Coastal Trail to little known pocket beaches for unique views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

  • DIP - Your feet into the Pacific Ocean at secluded Marshall Beach.

  • WALK TIME/DISTANCE - 3 hrs / 5 mi. / 8 km

  • HIKE RATING - Moderate ups & downs, with some stairs..

  • STROLL - Along the winding Sausalito waterfront with views of Angel Island, Alcatraz Island, and the San Francisco skyline.

  • VISIT - Former military base, Fort Baker, on Horseshoe Cove, with commanding views of the Golden Gate Bridge's north tower.

  • FOLLOW - The coastal route climbing to a spectacular overlook, high above the bridge deck  for unparralled views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay, & the Marin Headlands.

  • SEE - Sea lions, dolphins, and with luck, even whales! 

  • WALK TIME/DISTANCE - 3-4 hrs / 6 mi. / 10 km

  • HIKE RATING - Moderate with some ups & downs.

Lands End: San Francisco's Wild & Scenic Coastline- $55

  • EXPLORE - The historic ruins of Sutro Baths and Point Lobos on the City's northwestern edge.

  • GAZE - Upon surf-lashed Ocean Beach from the Sutro Heights overlook, with coastal vistas stretching for miles to the south and west.

  • FOLLOW - The Coastal Trail along cliffside bluffs to a wild & remote beach for commanding views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands.

  • SEE - Several historic shipwrecks which lie just offshore. 

  • NATURE WATCH- See napping sea lions, scan the sea for pods of bay porpoise, or, with luck, spot the spouts of gray or humpback whales.

  • WALK TIME/DISTANCE - 3-4 hrs/ 6 mi. / 10 km

  • HIKE RATING - Moderate ups & downs, with some stairs..

  • SEE WORLD-FAMOUS REDWOODS WITHOUT THE CROWDS - Visit ancient redwood groves via quiet trails on the creek-and fern-lined canyons at the base of Mt. Tamalpais. 

  • EXPERIENCE - See towering ancient trees in a primeval creekside setting with hidden pools and a cascading waterfall.

  • HIKE RATING - This easy-going walk follows a mix of quiet backroads and lush, fern-lined trails.
